Benefits
It’s our space to succeed.
From health coverage and savings plans to training and time off, we've created a space where you are supported to take care of your well-being so you can be your very best.
Go farther with Lifespace.
One significant benefit of working at Lifespace is our national reach. We have communities spanning from Minnesota to Florida, so chances are, we have a community that’s not far from you. This means you can not only work at the Lifespace community that suits you best, but also find the ideal city in the U.S. to live in.
It’s our space to thrive.
Dedication to our residents, our community, and one another is what sets Lifespace apart. To ensure you have the support you need, we proudly offer a collection of health and well-being benefits to keep you and your family fit and thriving.
We believe in offering our team members choice, knowing everyone has their own unique needs. We offer multiple health plans through United Healthcare that range from a traditional PPO with copays to a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) that includes health savings accounts to use for your health care expenses.
Our vision plan through EyeMed helps you cover the cost of routine vision services and supplies, like eye exams, eyeglasses, and contact lenses.
Our dental plan through Delta Dental provides coverage for many dental expenses, including cleanings, X-rays, fillings, and orthodontia. Preventive care is covered at 100%, including at least one oral cleaning every six months.
Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Savings Accounts (FSA) let you pay for certain health care and/or dependent care expenses using tax-free money. Our HDHP plan comes with a HSA, and Lifespace will deposit either $500 or $1,000 into your HSA depending on whom you cover under the plan.
Lifespace also offers a wide range of additional benefits that you may elect, including legal assistance, pet insurance, identity theft, critical illness, accident, and group hospital insurance.
Full-time team members receive basic Life and AD&D insurance at no cost, and are eligible to purchase additional coverage.
“The benefits are really good. My family and I are able to go to our doctor appointments for a reasonable copay and we have a large pool of doctors in our network to choose from.”
— Marla S., Director, Assisted Living/Memory Care

403(B) Account
Whether you are a full-time or part-time team member, you are eligible to participate in our 403(b) Plan. You can contribute the IRS maximum per year and Lifespace will match 50% up to the first 6% of your contribution.

REFERRAL
PROGRAMFun fact: 35% of our new hires come from referrals, which speaks volumes about the amazing experience our team members have working here. So, if you know someone who’d be a perfect fit to join the Lifespace team, let us know. You’ll earn $1,000 if your referral is hired full-time and $500 if your referral is hired part-time.
Finding balance is key.
We understand the importance of work/life balance. That’s why we encourage you to take paid time off to relax, unwind, and simply enjoy yourself.
Lifespace recognizes the need to unwind and unplug, which is why we offer a competitive time off package to allow you to take care of the important events in your life and time to recharge.
At Lifespace, we’re proud to be part of our local communities and encourage our team members to give back. Our Footprints program allows all full-time team members to volunteer eight paid hours of their time per year and all part-time team members four paid hours.
It’s our space to give.
As the charitable arm of Lifespace Communities, the Lifespace Foundation fulfills its mission to support the health and welfare of our residents through philanthropy. Thanks to the generous donations of other residents, team members, family and friends, and corporate sponsors, we are able to address the very real issue of residents outliving their financial resources. The funds donated also go to support the social, intellectual, spiritual, and physical needs of each and every one of our residents. And it doesn’t stop there. The Lifespace Foundation is also responsible for team member scholarships to help our team members learn and grow, and emergency assistance to help individuals through financial crises.
Because the greatest reward is giving.
Where there’s a need at Lifespace, there’s recognition. Take our Team Member Appreciation Fund, where residents collected $2.6 million for our team members in 2023. We also awarded $280,000 in scholarships and $38,000 in emergency assistance grants to our internal team this past year alone.
